Welcome Swordfish to the 2009 Season

Hi Swordfish Family:)

Swordfish Swimmers, we are just over four months away from the inaugural 2009 Alberta Summer Swimming Season! Training starts now for some, as a few Swordfish have been seen competing in the Polar Bear swims under the ice. The coaching staff is looking forward to building on the great performances and personal best times that many swimmers had last season.

In the next few weeks and months the executive will organize registration days and plan an exciting swim season. This year we welcome some new executive members who bring a wealth of experiences and ideas for supporting the swim club. The returning executives have been part of the Swordfish family for many years and we are grateful for their commitment. This year's Swordfish Executive will be:

We would like to thank our Past President Dan Menard and Vice President Karen McKenzie for their incredible work in growing the swim club last year and making the 2008 swim season a hit for the Swordfish. We also want to recognize the long hours given by Dave Long and Russ McKenzie to organize officiating and the club's swim meet. Thanks also to Colleen Hlady and Colleen Brown for the great social events and to the many parent volunteers who worked hard behind the scenes to support the swimmers.

We have a young, dynamic and exciting club for the coming swim season. We look forward to building fantastic Swordfish Memories in 2009.
